Welcome to the M.A.K. Dojo website
Osu!
You've entered the website of the Waikato Martial Arts Kyokushin (MAK) Dojo!
Now that we have your attention we would like to briefly tell you about us and the beautiful martial art that is Kyokushin karate.
We are a karate dojo teaching authentic Japanese Kyokushin karate by qualified experienced karate instructors in a friendly, family oriented environment.
Our dojo instructor is Kapiera Peita who is supported by his wife Lee, brother Mikaere and sister Berenize.
We also have another branch of the MAK dojo operating in Ngaruawahia with Mikaere Peita as dojo instructor
In the Waikato we are proud to have Sensei Tahi Parata as our head instructor for the region.
MAK Dojo is affiliated with the North Harbour Kyokushin Dojo on Auckland's North Shore under the directorship of Shihan Stephen Takiwa. This provides us with our vital link to Japan, and to the chairman of our organisation, Kancho Shokei Matsui.
This is important as it means that our students will have their training efforts recognised by other affiliated Kyokushin dojo within New Zealand and throughout the world.
